With State High School Championships this coming weekend and our Lone Star Spring League wrapping up yesterday it’s a transitional period for AquaTex. But still plenty on the calendar and updates to share.
Lone Star Spring League Championships
Our boys played their typical ironman tournament on Sunday in Boerne, some getting six games under their belts they filled in on teams that needed more players. For their efforts in the four games that counted they, combined with Longhorn, earned two 3rd place medals for the Spring Championship. Congratulation to everyone who participated all season.
Both our 6th and 8th grade teams they both did well against some very strong opponents. David is becoming a true threat as a shooter, Nico is clearly more comfortable on the ball, Luca made some serious saves in the goal, Riley played his energetic defense, and Matt joined us to show off his passing angles.
Overall, it was solid end to a good season for our middle school athletes. Well done to our bronze medalists.
TAGS Middle School and Under Championships
One final roster call for the middle school-age and under state championships talking place on May 11-12 at the Keller ISD Natatorium. We, with Longhorn, need to submit our entries by this Wednesday, so please sign up online if you have not already.
TISCA State Water Polo Championships
Just a couple more practices before high school state championships begin on Friday. We wish every participant from the West Region the best of luck, but in particular our members who will be playing for Round Rock High School. Be sure to come watch maybe the most fun tournament of the whole year. You can find much more information, including the live schedule, here.

Our plans are to resume practices at Micki on Wednesday, May 1. We’ll check in with everyone if there are updates to that plan.
See you on the deck,
James
