Hoping everyone had a great 4th week(end). We’re back with some competitive news, scheduling, masters, and two more tournaments in August.
Suns Out Guns Out
Longhorn had thirty athletes competing in four different divisions last weekend in Pearland. The AquaTex trio of David, Joey, and Riley anchored the Zilla/Longhorn 14u team that played to a 2-2 record, including wins over Southside and Viper Pigeons, for a 5th place finish, another great experience for our boys. Summer Schedule Update Coming
As Coach Marcy mentioned in an email to the team on Monday the summer schedule will change next week. We’ll let you know how this affects waterpolo as soon as we can. The schedule this week remains the same.
Competition Schedule
Junior Olympics is quickly approaching, which in a strange way signals the “end” of the summer season. Well, not really since there are two more tournaments on the calendar that we want to play in. As always, log on and commit to these two new very fun tournaments.
- Aug 3-4: Titan Summer Spectacular, all age groups including open, The Colony, TX
- Aug 24-25: Zilla Beach Water Polo Tournament, all age groups including open/masters, Lake Travis, TX
Masters Tourney in San Antonio
Our friends from Austin Water Polo are looking for more masters players for a one-day tournament in San Antonio on July 13th. It will take place at the Incarnate Word swimming center. Athletes would play 2-3 games starting Saturday mid-morning and ending in the afternoon. There is a men’s and women’s division, so please let us know if you are available to play.
